THE GEEK ART/GREEN INNOVATOR'S FESTIVAL
Dates: Friday April 5 and Saturday, April 6, 2013

Contact: Christine Bethea 412-596-6521

Now planning its fourth season, the 2013 Geek Art/Green Innovator's Festival or GA/GI (pronounced Gah-gee) kicked off three years ago as a key event of the United Nation's World Environment Day in Pittsburgh. It was organized by Passports: The Art Diversity Project, a local arts consortium in partnership with the Penn Avenue Arts Initiative's Bloomfield/Garfield Corporation and Friendshipp Development Association. GA/GI was created to give artists, eco buffs and technology innovators from Allegheny County and beyond a platform to exhibit and present to the general public within "Unblurred," an urban arts venue held First Fridays on Penn Avenue.

The Festival which also serves as an educational forum, includes participation from a variety of universities, artists, corporations, inventors and designers invited to showcase their project, people or programs in galleries, businesses and vacant spaces, along the Penn Avenue Arts Corridor. This colorful event is also punctuated with music performances; displays, children's activities, and alternative programming and a quirky fashion segment. called Lights! Cameras! Fashion!
We're inviting photographers to take over the "red carpet" like atmosphere as the models show off their funky fashion on the evening of Friday, April 5, between 6:30 and 8:30 at the Pittsburgh Glass Center, 5472 Penn Avenue. The best photos will be preserved in our GA/GI Look Book with photo creds given to the winners, We'll also gift you with snacks, a free GA/GI book with your work and T-shirt. Also we invite to you take photos of the festival in total any where you'd like! You can build your portfolio and share them with us.

Please Let us know if you plan to participate by writing "Christine"  at
